EMDT Track Record
The following is the track
record for the eMiniDayTrader.com mechanical trade setups.
We have listed the results in two ways:
| |
1) All Mechanical
Trades - These results represent taking all of the mechanical
trades in a robotic or systematic way. These results show that
the mechanical trades, in isolation, without putting them in any
context, have an edge. We consider the mechanical results a
"baseline" of profitability. It allows traders to get going
relatively quickly and earn while they learn.
2) Mechanical Trades With The Market Logic We Teach -
These results represent taking only the mechanical trade setups that
are in line with the "2 out of 3" decision making model we teach.
We teach this simple method because we believe that successful traders
have the ability to put the market in context first, then use
mechanical trade setups that are in line with that market
understanding. |
Are these results
realistic?
Yes, for several reasons.
First, all of our mechanical trade setups are based on strict rules.
Either a trade occurs or it doesn't. If a trade occurs, the software
will display it. There is no gray area.
Second, we DO NOT just assume that if our entry or target price is hit to
the tick that it's a fill. That's a common fallacy in mechanical
trade reporting as it's not a realistic representation of live trading.

2008-2009 Track Record
All Mechanical Trades - With No Consideration Of Market Logic We
Teach:
1865/2423 (77.0%) winning or break-even trades
11,767 ticks
$147,087.50 before commissions
Mechanical Trades In-Line with
Market Logic We Teach:
We upgraded software for 2010. Prior to 2010 we did not track
the results with market logic. We just have the track
record for the mechanical trades without any consideration for market
context. You can make the safe assumption, however, that gross
monetary results were slightly better, while the total number of
trades was decreased and the winning percentage was increased. |
