David Johnston is the founder and lead-educator, while Justin Weinraub is a former student of Dave's with experience in website development.

About Dave Johnston
I am a veteran trader who got my start in 1988 at the Market Logic School in Chicago, founded by Pete Steidlmayer, the creator of the Market Profile.

After 10 years of using the profile and obtaining very moderate success I started my quest to mechanize its potential. As a daytrader there is the need to drill down in time from the 30-minute default time period used in the market profile. In order to accomplish this I created, and later copyrighted, a proprietary software product that can define the auction in a similar way. This software allows traders to integrate the logic of the market and the Market Profile with the demands of short term, intraday trading.

The eminidaytrader trading program evolved by combining the market profile, the eminidaytrader software and market logic. These three legs of the trading system bring together the objective with the subjective. It has the objective trade identification of trade setups, triggers and management needed for precise trading. It also has the foundation that the trader can develop over time to improve his discretionary analysis of the market. The subjective analysis or "art" in trading sets the stage so that all of the eminidaytrader students have the foundation from which to grow their trading expertise over time.

My goal, and the goal of eMiniDayTrader.com is simple.  We want to give you an understanding of how the markets really work and we want to teach you how to make highly consistent, highly profitable trades.

I believe that understanding how the market really works and the subsequent ability to profit from this knowledge is one of the most valuable and lucrative skills any person could possess.

About Justin Weinraub
I became a student of Dave's a couple of years ago.  Needless to say, I'm very indebted to him for sharing his knowledge and methods. 

I, like many other aspiring traders, was very consistent.  A very consistent loser that is.  I would spend countless hours researching and developing my latest trading ideas only to abandon them the first losing day I had.  That lead me on a quest from website to website looking for the next "holy grail" indicator that would finally set me on my path to profits. 

Sometimes my indicators would work, sometimes I would get into a trade just as the market started moving the other direction.  I was pretty clueless looking back on it.

I was getting very frustrated, and even though my wife is amazing, I know she was starting to worry as well.

One day, I looked in the mirror and finally admitted the path I was on was not working.  I either needed to dedicate myself to truly learning how the markets worked or I needed to find something else to do.

As is often the case when one makes a crucial life decision like that, I somehow found Dave's site. 

Since then, I can honestly say my market knowledge has increased 1000%.  More importantly, I make money trading.  I'm consistent, but this time I'm consistently profitable.
